“I really liked the form factor for the Kingston Wi-Drive as it just slips right into your pocket, and the fact it uses flash based memory means it is durable for travel. I also loved the ability to connect to any available wireless access point from the Kingston Wi-Drive so you do not lose your Internet connection which comes in handy if you are trying to stream your music collection and read that breaking news story on Legit Reviews. This is a great solution to extend your Apple device by 16GB or 32GB once you have filled your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch to capacity.“

“As we noted in our review of PhotoFast's i-FlashDrive several days ago, the idea of adding additional storage space to Apple's digital media players was previously all but inconceivable: unlike some rivals, Apple didn't include SD Card slots or other expansion options in its iPods or iPhones, and pretty much ruled out third-party storage accessories. Thankfully, recent improvements to the iOS operating system and accessory technology have enabled developers to tackle this formerly impossible mission; the most recent product of these innovations is Kingston's new Wi-Drive. As the name implies, Wi-Drive is a wireless hard drive that comes in 16GB ($130) or 32GB ($175) versions, and though it has some important limitations, it's a seriously cool way to store video, audio, photo, and other content without filling the limited storage capacity of your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.”
“More impressively, it works almost anywhere, creating its own 802.11g/n wireless network by default, which means that you can access your media if you’re in a car, subway, or otherwise away from home. Wi-Drive can also join an existing wireless network if you want it to do so; in the event that it fails to join a network, it falls back to its own—a very smart way of handling what would otherwise be a frustrating experience.”
“Kingston deserves a lot of praise for how much it got right here. For $130 to $175, Wi-Drive is priced at just the right levels to offer extra storage to space-limited iOS users”

“When considering the purchase of the latest smartphone, tablet or other portable gadget, the onboard storage has become the most obvious differentiating factor between various models. The iPad 2 for instance comes with 16GB on storage in the base model. For $100 more you can have 32GB and another $100 gets you up to the cap of 64GB. The iPhone suffers the same problem and the slew of Android smartphones and tablets can also have storage limitations. The Kingston Wi-Drive is addressing this issue by offering a portable flash-based drive that's accessible via WiFi, giving consumers more flexible storage alternatives for their mobile devices.”
“The Kingston Wi-Drive checks off a lot of the right boxes in the new mobile WiFi storage market. As a flash-based drive it has the smallest footprint and by far the smallest carrying size and very low overall weight. It truly is a device you can toss in a bag or pants pocket and forget you are carrying it. In terms of usability, it's easy, albeit slow, to add media to the device and their iOS app gets the job done, with an Android app coming soon.”
“If you're considering the Wi-Drive, the capacity isn't an issue - it's more about portability and ease of use. On those two counts the Wi-Drive does very well, even on battery, which gets about four hours depending on usage. For a first effort in an emerging category, Kingston has done well.”

“Although the iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone may not have memory expansion card slots, you can expand the storage capacity of your favorite iOS devices by connecting a Wi-Fi enabled hard drive such as the Kingston Wi-Drive. This sleek little drive comes in capacities of 16GB and 32GB. It connects to your iOS device using Wi-Fi and an app from Kingston.
Besides letting you expand the storage on your iPad, iPod touch, or iPhone, the Wi-Drive can also be accessed by additional users: In fact, up to three users can connect to the Wi-Drive simultaneously. This can be particularly useful for family members, colleagues, or students who need to share and access files from portable devices. “
“The Wi-Drive offers some handy functionality and additional storage space for your favorite iOS devices”
“if you have multiple iOS devices and find yourself constantly swapping files from one device to another, or if you simply aren't interested in shelling out the cash to upgrade your current iPad or iPhone, the Kingston Wi-Drive may be a great accessory.”
“All in all, the Kingston Wi-Drive serves the purpose it was designed for: It expands the capacity of your iPad, iPhone , or iPod touch and allows you to quickly and easily access your files. We also appreciate the drive's ability to share files with multiple users simultaneously.”

“The Kingston Wi-Drive 32GB wireless flash storage device is a very cool little gadget that could make using your iPod, iPad, or just about any other Wi-Fi enabled device much more enjoyable. You can effortlessly expand your capacity for movies, music, photos, and other files, and you also have the option of sharing your content with a few friends, too. While the Wi-Drive will work with a variety of devices, the physical styling and availability of an App make it most appealing for use with one of Apple's products (iPod, iPod, iPhone). It worked very well when tested with an iPod Touch, and the two devices seemed like they were meant to be together. That said, I have plans to use the Wi-Drive in a different way very soon. I can see it being a perfect fit for use in the car, as an alternative media source to DVDs to be used with headrest mounted players. Android tablets are dirt cheap these days, and even if they don't have much in the way of internal storage, they could still work out great with a Wi-Drive stashed in the center console streaming whatever the kids want to watch. Hopefully Kingston comes up with an Android app to make this even easier.”
